The Swiss Ice Hockey Association announced on Wednesday that Richard Jost is the new head coach for the U20s. The 47-year-old replaces Jakob Kölliker, who was the U20 head coach for 11 years and had two fourth-place finishes, in 2002 and 2010, as the pinnacle of his era.
Jost has worked in Swiss youth hockey for many years both for the Swiss association and for club teams, most recently within the ZSC Lions Zurich organization. As a player he won championships with HC Davos and played at the 1982 World Juniors.
Alex Reinhard, the assistant coach of the SCL Tigers Langnau, and Sergio Soguel, who is the assistant coach of the GCK Lions in the B League, are the assistant coaches for the team. |
