Kreider finished the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship tied for the Team USA lead in goals with six in seven games, including a hat-trick against Lativa. He also helped Boston College capture the 2010 NCAA Division I title as a freshman. Kreider was fifth on the team in scoring with 15 goals in 38 games, and was named to the Hockey East All-rookie team.
