Tickets Remain for All Games
The medal-round and relegation-round schedules for the 35th annual International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship being held in Buffalo and Lewiston, N.Y., through Jan. 5, were released tonight following the conclusion of the preliminary round.
All medal-round action will take place at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y.
Play begins on Sunday (Jan. 2) at 3:30 p.m. with the first quarterfinal featuring Canada vs. Switzerland. The winner of that contest will take on the United States in semifinal play on Monday (Jan. 3) at 7:30 p.m.
The other quarterfinal-round game pits Finland against Russia at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 2), with the winner facing Sweden at 3:30 p.m. in semifinal play on Monday (Jan. 3).
The bronze-medal game is set for Wednesday (Jan. 5) at 3:30 p.m., with the gold-medal game to follow later that day at 7:30 p.m.
Relegation-round play will take place at Dwyer Arena on the campus of Niagara University in Lewiston, N.Y., with the schedule below.
In addition, the game to determine fifth and sixth place will be staged at HSBC Arena on Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
