This monitored electronic bulletin-board (henceforth refered to as "these Forums') is provided by the Buffalo World Juniors solely for entertainment purposes and as a courtesy to their guests and members.
To post messages to these Forums, you must register as a member. This registration is free of charge. By registering, you agree to abide by the following Terms of Membership:
1) When you register, you must choose a unique user name or "handle" and you must provide a unique, valid e-mail address. Duplicate user names and e-mail addresses are not allowed. If the name or address you have entered is already in use, you will be prompted to choose another one. Note that we may choose to use the member's real name rather than user names or "handles" to identify then as the posters of messages within the forum.
2) To prevent any member from using another user's handle, each member's account is password-protected with e-mail verification. When you register, a randomly generated password will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. Once you have received your password, you may edit your profile to change it to one of your choice. You may also change the e-mail address in your profile. HOWEVER, if you do, a new, randomly generated password will be sent to that address. Entering an invalid e-mail address will cause your user name to become unusable by anyone, INCLUDING YOURSELF, until the information in your account is manually corrected by a moderator or administrator.
3) These Forums may, at their own discretion, bar registration from any specific e-mail service or ISP, for any lawful reason. Inappropriate user names are prohibited, and will be disabled solely at the discretion of the administrators and moderators. Any attempt to establish multiple accounts for the purposes of avoiding suspension of an established account, or with the intent to deceive the administrators, moderators or other members of these forums, or violating any stated lawful purpose, including/but not limited to the posting of advertisements, spamming, solicitation, disruption of service, or for the purpose of nuisance, by manual, mechanical (including software, malicious software and sundry means) or other electronically compiled or transmitted methods, will result in action taken against the violator, including/but not limted to an IP ban, civil action and/or criminal complaint, at the discretion of the Buffalo World Juniors and their acting agents, including their administrators and/or moderators.
4) Any/and all messages posted on these Forums express only the views of the individual authors, and do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of these Forums or any person or entity associated with them. These Forums use moderators and administrators to monitor the content and appearance of messages posted in our forums. However, considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is impossible for us to monitor or review every message. Therefore, you agree that neither these forums, nor any person or entity associated with them, will be held liable for the contents, accuracy, completeness or validity of any information posted in them.
5) You agree that you will not use these Forums to post any message or link, to any material including/but not limited to, that which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, insulting, offensive, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented and/or sexually predatory, threatening, intimidating, menacing, invasive of a person's privacy, racially/ethnically motivated or otherwise in violation of any law.
6) You agree that you will not post any copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright holder, unless such copyright is owned by yourself, the message poster, and by extension is implicitly licensed to these Forums.
7) Pursuant to point 6 (See above) you will not post (nor solicit) any link to any unlawful, unlicensed or unauthorized IIHF (or other) game broadcast, disseminated by any method, including (but, not limited to) P2P (peer-to-peer) transmissions.
8) Advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations for tickets, merchandise or services, including/but not limited to, other websites, message boards and/or blogs, are prohibited on these Forums. They will be removed and persistent subsequent violations will result in an IP ban, at the administrators' and/or moderators' discretion.
9) We retain the option to edit and/or remove objectionable messages. Any user who believes that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by e-mail at [email protected]. Upon receipt of such notification, we will make every effort to take such action as we deem necessary within a reasonable period of time, to address your concerns. Since this is a manual process, you are advised that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
10) These Forums reserve the right to edit or delete any message for any reason whatsoever, at our sole discretion. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your messages, and that you will indemnify and hold harmless these Forums, IPS, Inc. (the software manufacturer) and their agents and employees with respect to any claim based upon the appearance and/or transmission of your message(s).
11) Should you violate any of the above, and receive a warning from any Administrator/Webmaster/Moderator, and continue to violate any of the above, you will immediately receive a 5 day revocation of posting privileges and merit further sanction if warranted including, but not limited to an IP ban at any Administrators/Webmasters/Moderators discretion based upon infraction/violation of any of these rules..
12) In the event of any complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you, these Forums reserve the right to reveal your identity and any other available pertinent information to any authorized person or organization, upon lawful request.
13) Buffalo World Juniors and these Forums reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time, without any prior consent, warning or notification to their membership |
