The online media credential application for the 2011 World Junior Championship in Buffalo, NY that begins on December 26, 2010 is now available here.

To request credentials for more than 5 individuals per outlet, please contact Kevin Snow ([email protected]) to request a group accreditation form.

• Credential requests will only be accepted through this link. No emails or phone calls.
• Requests must be received by November 15, 2010. All applicants will be notified on or about December 1 whether their request was approved or declined.
• All requests must be completed by a sports editor/director/assignment editor on behalf of the media outlet.
• All required fields in the application must be completed.

Press box seating is not guaranteed for all games. Seating priority will be given to media covering teams participating each day. Seating assignments will be posted for each game. Any overflow media will be able to watch games in the media workroom.

HOTEL

The Adam’s Mark Hotel in downtown Buffalo is offering special media rates for the duration of the tournament. This rate is in effect until November 1. Click here for more information.

TRANSPORTATION

Free shuttle service will run from the Adam’s Mark to both HSBC Arena and Dwyer Arena on all event days.

BROADCAST

There will be restrictions on TV camera access prior to, along with during and after games, unless permission has been specifically granted by USA Hockey. To protect the broadcast partners of the IIHF World Junior Championship, non-rights holders will have limited access to the arenas prior to and during and after games. Those television entities interested in conducting live remotes during the event or pursuing other forms of coverage should contact Michael Gilbert to submit a request at least five days in advance.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

• Photographers will be required to sign a waiver indicating their images will be used for editorial purposes only.
• There will be no access to strobe lights for any photography outlets, or any opportunity to install strobes in either venue.

TECHNICAL

Information regarding purchasing technical elements will be available shortly. Complimentary wi-fi access will be available, however bandwith will be limited. The wi-fi bandwith will not allow for the uploading of video, audio or photos.
